- It – подлежащее;
- was a house – составное именное сказуемое, где was – глагол-связка;
- a house – предикативный член;
- genteel old-fashioned – однородные члены – определения к предикативному члену;
- quiet and orderly – обособленные однородные члены – определения к предикативному члену;
- very – обстоятельство степени к этим однородным членам – определениям.
Упражнение. Определите, какие члены предложения вводятся предлогами with, by и to. Переведите предложения на русский язык.
