Present Perfect Continuous — продолжение
Время Present Perfect Continuous может употребляться для выражения повторности, многократности с глаголами, обозначающими действие как акт, т. е. с глаголами предельными: tell, meet, take, bring и др. Значение повторности уточняется соответствующими обстоятельствами:
She has been seeing me any time these two years.
I have been telling you hundreds of times to be more attentive.
We have been meeting this man on our way home every day lately.
Сравните: We have met him lately; I have told her; she has seen me (встретили его, сказала ей, видела меня изолированные действия).
Present Perfect Continuous для выражения эмоций говорящего
Для того чтобы выразить удивление, порицание или негодование предложение произносится с особой взволнованной интонацией, часто используется глагол do в вопросительной форме:
What have you been doing to yourself?
Somebody has been rummaging through my papers, it is so annoying.
